“The Retribution Sutra on the Discernment of Good and Evil” says: “There are ten kinds of retribution for evil desires (i.e., sexual misconduct). What are the ten? 1. Strong desire, 2. Unchaste wife, 3. Growth of unwholesome deeds, 4. Elimination of good dharma, 5. , Men and women indulge in leisure, 6. Treasures are scattered, 7. Hearts are full of doubts, 8. Stay away from good friends, 9. Relatives do not believe, 10. Life ends in three paths (the three paths are hell, hungry ghosts, and animals).”

In the local area, Qi, a well-known wealthy businessman, met the elegant and virtuous Mrs. Chen at a party. Although Qi already had a wife and family, he was very fond of Mrs. Chen and even thought of taking her as his own. So he went to Chen’s house every now and then to send valuable gifts and jewelry to win Mrs. Chen’s favor.
Finally, under the temptation of money, the young Mrs. Chen lost her bottom line and fell into the arms of Qi. Since you have learned Buddhism, you must firmly believe in cause and effect, repent of your karma, and recite “Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva” 49 parts of “The Sutra of Original Vows”, dedicated to your husband and Miss Ye. If you can sincerely repent and recite the sutra, follow a vegetarian diet and live free lives, your future life will still be happy.” Xiaoxue nodded with a tearful smile.
When I saw Xiaoxue again, I no longer recognized him. She was much younger, with a rosy face and a bright smile. It was obvious that she had gained liberation from Buddhism.
