Donkey debt collection

Lay Practitioner Jiang is over 70 years old and often participates in the “Buddha Fighting Seven”. However, she has a heart problem that makes her unable to concentrate when reciting the Buddha’s name. The reason is that her seventeen-year-old grandson often yells at his grandfather, who is nearly eighty years old, forcing the old couple to do this and that for him. He had to change his clothes once a day, pick and choose his meals, and even asked his grandma to fetch things from his classmates’ houses.

My son’s family has a very good financial situation. They have a modern three-bedroom apartment and their own Toyota car. They also very much hope that their children can go back to live there. This child has liked living at his grandparents’ house since he was a child, but he makes his parents angry every day. No matter how kind his grandparents were to him, he would fall out whenever he wanted to. When his temper got angry, he would kick furniture and doors, but after a while things would calm down again. Lay Practitioner Jiang said that when he was at home, the two of them couldn’t calm down while chanting Buddha’s name!

After hearing this, I felt very sympathetic to their situation. To this end, I asked the old monk Miaofa for advice.

The master said: “The old couple were married before they were born, and they live in the countryside. Her family has a donkey. This donkey usually helps them farm and grind, and also does legwork when they go to the market. The donkey eats coarse fodder and works Hard work, but they were often beaten and scolded. When the donkey got old and couldn’t do the work anymore, they sold it to the butcher and killed it. Now, their grandson is the reincarnation of the donkey to collect debts. Let them go quickly Repenting in front of the Buddha for the sin of mistreating the donkey in the past, and reciting the Ksitigarbha Sutra for that donkey every day will definitely have an effect. Otherwise, the two of them will be pissed to death by this grandson in the future.”

I conveyed the words of the old monk Miaofa to layman Jiang. She believed it very much. She said that this grandson was really like a stubborn donkey and moody. The old man was so angry that his blood pressure rose, and he even had a heart attack a few days ago. If we continue to develop like this, we will definitely catch up with this old fate. This time, knowing the cause of their troubles, they will definitely do what Master instructed.

A month and a half later, Lay Practitioner Jiang called: “I have good news to report to you and Master Miaofa. The old man and I repented of the wrong things we did in the past that day and persisted in reciting the Ksitigarbha Sutra every day. From the time we started reciting it, we have been Thirty-nine times, during this period, my grandson only lost his temper once, and he yelled twice before he was fine. Moreover, yesterday the teacher praised him for his simple clothes and willingness to help others, which really made the two of us shed tears of joy. “Ksitigarbha Sutra” “The power of “The Buddha’s Dharma” is incredible, and the Dharma is truly wonderful! Now that we practice it, our confidence is even stronger.”

Now, in less than half a year, layman Jiang’s grandson has gloriously joined the Communist Youth League. Practitioner Jiang and her wife happily recited sutras and worshiped Buddha every day, and they also fell in love with studying sutras. Not only has the original disease disappeared, but layman Jiang’s white hair has also recently grown black hair again.

Their happy old age has just begun…
