The wheel of Dharma always turns, and the waves wash away the sand

Question: Now is the Dharma Ending Period. There are too many people teaching evil Dharma and breaking the precepts. It is unspeakable. Is it true that Buddhism will wither away day by day from now on and will never be revitalized?

Answer: No. As far as I know, there are many people practicing silently, both at home and abroad. It is not convenient for me to talk about monks. I can tell you a few true stories about the practice of lay people. In “Record of Modern Cause and Effect”, I told the story of a “Teacher”. The husband of this couple is 29 years old and the wife is 32 years old. Their daughter, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy by a doctor, is now 4 years old. She is smart and beautiful, and her mental ability (IQ) is much higher than that of children of the same age. For example, if you do a little magic trick for her, hide something, etc., she will not only understand that you are lying to her, but she will also be able to find it for you right away. She was timid when walking and couldn’t find her balance. An adult led her with one hand and she was able to walk. She is still practicing more.

This is a huge improvement compared to the doctor who said he couldn’t even sit up! He can already speak simple words like dad, mom, grandpa, grandma, etc. He will call dad and mom when he is hungry, pat his belly and point to his mouth. He will also call mom and dad and make gestures to express his bowel movements. Even when sleeping at night, he will never go to bed. Urination and defecation. She would push her parents to wake up and show off. If someone she likes comes, she will dance with joy just by talking outside the door. I called her mother a few days ago, and she shouted “Grandpa” happily over the phone! Not to mention her parents, even I was sincerely happy and gratified with every progress she made. The corrected name given to her by the old monk Miaofa was “Huixin”, and it really came true today. Master said: “Huixin’s change is faster than I expected. In the future, she will not only be able to take care of herself, but will also be completely normal, and may develop wisdom before the age of 20.”

After hearing this, I was surprised and asked Master: “Huixin was reincarnated from the pig realm, how can she still develop wisdom?”

Master said: “The teacher fell into the body of a pig after his death because he hindered all sentient beings from learning Buddhism. The teacher’s previous life was a very famous monk at that time. Later, he returned to the human world after his death due to his lustful intentions. He should be He became a teacher. His two disciples also followed him back to the human world and remained his students because of their unbroken love. The teacher, because he hindered others from learning Buddhism, fell into the body of a pig after death, and his two students fell ill. After the death of the old man, he returned to the human world and became a couple. Because he likes to eat pig head meat, he became Huixin’s parents. In other words, Huixin’s previous life was a pig, the pig’s previous life was a teacher, and the teacher’s previous life He is the monk who, although he has certain spiritual practices, has not completely eliminated his lust.

A young couple who likes to eat pig head meat got a child with congenital cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is ignorance. The cause of ignorance is that the teacher hinders others from learning Buddhism. Going one step further, ignorance is the lingering desire for lust, which is the desire and behavior of men and women to have sex. This may also be the reason why the Bodhisattva who coined Chinese characters wrote the word “marriage” next to the word “female” for marriage. If a woman is around, he will become dizzy. This is the reason for his stupidity. This is for practitioners, so the Buddhist teachings in the “Four Pure and Bright Instructions” in the Surangama Sutra say: “When you practice Samadhi, you are born from dust and labor. If you don’t get rid of your lustful mind, you can’t get rid of the dust.”

The old monk said that after Huixin’s parents understood Buddhism, they wholeheartedly converted to Buddhism, Dharma and the Sangha. Not only did they give up eating meat, but the couple also separated. Not only did they chant sutras and recite Buddha’s name, but they also taught Huixin to recite and worship Buddha. Their family appeared in front of me. It was a glittering temple, and all three of them had become monks. The wisdom she gained as a monk in her previous life will one day reappear in Hui Xin.

This summer, I had the opportunity to meet Huixin and her parents who had moved back to their hometown of H County, and got to know a large number of disciples of the old monk Miaofa who were studying Buddhism diligently under the leadership of my junior brother Guopei. Master’s words were finally verified.

Sitting in front of me was Huixin’s father, Jushi Liu, with a medium build and the temperament of a weak scholar. His wife, Jushi Li, was said to be a fabric factory worker, but in fact she was more like a middle school teacher. She was beautiful and dignified. My husband is three years older.

After asking, I saw at a glance that Mr. Liu, who was wearing a short-sleeved shirt, had two diagonal burn scars about the thickness of chopsticks on each of his arms and wrists. The bright red tender flesh showed that the burns were recent. I asked about the reason, and layman Liu said without any reservations: “We both understood Buddhism because of Huixin’s illness, and vowed to cultivate in the three realms and be reborn in bliss. We got married and had children because of love, which brought all kinds of pain and troubles.” We learned the Buddha’s teachings of the “Four Pure and Bright Instructions” and repeatedly read the stories of past and future lives in the “Modern Cause and Effect Record”. We determined to eradicate sexual desire, and burned incense in front of the Buddha together and made vows. Over the past six months, Although we still sleep in the same bed, we are in peace with each other.

But one day half a month ago, I don’t know where the magic suddenly came from and encouraged me to engage in prostitution. When I couldn’t control it, I hurriedly jumped out of bed, knelt in front of the Buddha, and asked Guanyin Bodhisattva to bless me with concentration. Holding two burning incense sticks, I am determined to use the burning incense scar to expel the obscene demons in my heart and seek the blessing of Buddha. We will definitely get rid of our lustful thoughts. Please tell Master, don’t worry. Together with Huixin, we will definitely become good disciples of Master Miao. “

I was so moved by Layman Liu’s words that I shed tears in front of them.

“You are so young, but you have the courage of a great hero. You make many old lay people feel ashamed. It is really admirable. I will publish your story in the second book, okay?”

Lay Practitioner Li immediately said: “There are already three or four couples who have given up sexual desire here. Lay Practitioner Guopei leads us to hold Shurangama Dharma meetings. Most of our people here can recite the Surangama Mantra and the four chapters of the Surangama Sutra.” This pure and clear teaching makes anyone from a sixty-year-old aunt to a twenty-year-old young man feel ashamed if he cannot recite it. Anyone who is determined to learn Buddhism immediately gives up his or her taste. We have a man named Hong Bin here. I met a layman named Yanbin in the bathhouse, and took him to meet layman Guopei. After reading the “Modern Cause and Effect Record”, he led his wife and two daughters to eliminate meat and fish. Recently I heard that we two After giving up sexual desire, he and his wife also made a vow to give up sexual desire in front of the Buddha in front of all the lay people. They were both in their thirties. There are also couples in their early forties who gave up sexual desire. We think as long as it is what the Buddha said. The truth is, we just do what we do, and we don’t think we are anything special. I would like to ask you to write about Huixin again. When she was born, there were bruises on both sides of her back and abdomen, and they ran away. Many hospitals only found out that this is called pigmentary incontinence and said that it is a family sequela. However, no one in our family, including my grandfather’s parents, has this disease. Huixin still has horizontal bruises on her ankles. One day I meditated At that time, I suddenly felt that I had entered a pig killing farm. A pig was killed after its four legs were tied, and then put into a large iron pot that heated hot water. It was then taken out and shaved, and then a knife was used to cut a pig on its ankle. An iron rod was inserted under the skin of the pig’s leg until it reached the pig’s belly, and was poked in all directions. Finally, a person blew air into the pig’s body through the cut hole, and the pig’s belly swelled like a ball. Use a thin rope to tie the hole on the pig’s ankle to prevent the air from escaping, and then use the iron rod to beat the pig’s body (later, when I asked the old man, I found out that this was to separate the pig’s internal organs from the skin and flesh). Although the pig was bled, there were still faint traces of blood stasis where it was beaten, and finally it was disemboweled. At this time, I suddenly understood that the cause of Huixin’s “pigment incontinence” turned out to be that she was killed as a pig. The traces left when being beaten further prove the correctness of the teachings of the old monk Miaofa. The six paths of reincarnation in the past and future lives are true, and karma is even more real. We hope to use my family’s affairs to educate those who are still unable to observe the precepts. Buddhist disciples, only by observing the precepts and repenting can we eliminate our sins, and only by observing the precepts and chanting the name of Buddha can we be reborn in the Pure Land.”

Huixin’s words were deeply touching. She originally wanted to take a photo of Huixin for me to publish in the book, but I refused. Although she is a little girl, she will eventually grow up. Although my writing skills are not good, I believe readers will understand it. I would never dare to make up a story here to deceive people. In that case, I will also be blamed for the cause and effect.

So just from a small place like H County, we can know that the Dharma has never ended. Many practicing Buddhist disciples are among this vast sea of people. There is a saying in Buddhism that “a small hermit hides in the mountains, and a big hermit hides in the busy city”. No fighting, no greed, no seeking, no selfishness, no self-interest, and no lying are the tenets that all practitioners follow. If you practice at home, you will definitely Those who achieve Taoism.

As for some unfaithful phenomena in the Taoist temple and the teachings of evil masters, aren’t they a test for us? How can we show righteousness without evil? How can there be a Buddha without demons? Great virtuous monks teach us that demons are helpers For those of us who come to practice Taoism, if we regard him as a negative teacher, doesn’t it become the driving force for practice?

For those who don’t follow the rules, just ignore them. Those who teach evil Dharma are also trying to test whether we have the eye to discern Dharma, and they are trying to help us. If we are angry with them, we will be fooled by them.

The old monk Miaofa taught:

Some of the teachings of the last days are false and some are correct.

When you give it up, you give it up; when you use it, you use it.

It changes according to fate, and it becomes confusing.

Finally, I end with two sentences:

If you don’t move, why fear him for being greedy and jealous;

If you are single-minded, you won’t care if he fights with dragons or tigers.

The big waves wash away the sand and wash away the muddy water;

The wheel of Dharma is always turning, and the Dharma Realm is filled with light.

Sharing this article is Dharma giving. The Buddha said that Dharma giving has immeasurable merits.
