How to pray to Guanyin Bodhisattva?

Guanshiyin Bodhisattva is one of the most revered Bodhisattvas in Buddhism. He is compassionate, saves all living beings, can alleviate suffering, and fulfills his desires without hindrance. When many people face difficulties or have a wish, they pray to Guanshiyin Bodhisattva, hoping for his protection and guidance. How can we pray to Guanyin Bodhisattva with accuracy?

Pure heart and sincerity

Firstly, you must have a pure heart and be sincere.

Pure Heart

Purifying the mind involves clearing away distracting thoughts.
Don’t worry about greed, anger, and ignorance.
Don’t engage in sinful actions such as bad words and bad deeds.
Don’t have delusions, wrong views and other confusions.

Sincerity

Sincerity means having a sincere heart,
Don’t be deceived by hypocrisy, deceit, etc.
Don’t be disrespectful, disrespectful, blasphemous, etc.
Don’t be swayed by doubts or hesitations.

A pure and sincere heart is the basis for praying to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. Only in this way can we correspond to the heart of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and get his hearing and response.

Praise the Buddha and chant his name

I pray that Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva will have the skill to worship and recite Buddha’s name.

Worship Buddha

To worship the Buddha is to bow to the image or Dharma body of Guanyin Bodhisattva, to express one’s respect and piety, and to increase one’s merit and wisdom.

Chanting Buddha’s name

To recite the name of the Buddha is to recite the name or mantra of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, such as “Namo the Great Merciful and Great Compassionate Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva” or “Om Mani Padme Hum”, in order to purify one’s body, speech and mind, harmonize one’s breath and state of mind, and inspire Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva of mercy and power.

Praying to the Buddha and chanting the Buddha’s name are ways to pray to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. Only in this way can we be in harmony with Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva’s body, speech and mind, and receive his blessing and protection.

We must be sincere in making our wishes.

Willing to take refuge in the Three Jewels,
Willing to abide by the precepts and practice spiritual practice,
Willing to give charity,
Willing to benefit all sentient beings.

Wishing is a way for Guanshiyin Bodhisattva to express her desires, such as seeking relief from suffering, fulfilling one’s thoughts, seeking wisdom, and becoming a Buddha. The purpose of making a wish is to pray to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, to express our thoughts, connect with Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva’s wish power, and receive his blessings and fulfillment.

Final thoughts

When praying to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, you must have a pure and sincere heart, worship the Buddha, chant the Buddha’s name, and make wishes. Only by doing so can you truly receive the salvation and gifts of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. When praying to Guanyin Bodhisattva, there must be specific causes and conditions. It depends on whether you and Guanyin Pusa are destined. It is not a matter of one call and a hundred responses, or whether it is based on your whim. We must have confidence and piety, so that we can establish a profound causal relationship with Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and gain the boundless compassion and wisdom of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva.
