Ignorance spreads ignorance

Question: I bought a Guanyin statue half a month ago and spent another 20 yuan to consecrate it. He took it home happily. Who would have thought that when a Buddhist friend asked me that I had brought the Buddha statue into my house after 11 o’clock at noon, he told me with a blank face that I had to bring the Buddha statue into my house before 11 o’clock, otherwise not only would it not work if I turned on the light, but it would also cause disaster. , but within a few days my bicycle was stolen. I am so frightened that I am still scared. I don’t know what kind of disaster will happen in the future. I am here to ask you how I can remedy the situation to avoid it.

Answer: If the Buddha statue comes in at the wrong time, it will bring disaster to the family, who would dare to worship the Buddha? Please kind-hearted lay people please stop spreading these ignorant and ignorant “evil” knowledge. . Using such absurd fallacies to mislead others is going against the grain.

Just like someone said, “You are not allowed to recite the Ksitigarbha Sutra at home. As soon as you recite the sutra, all the little ghosts will come. Why? Only residents living on the highest floor of the building can make offerings to the Buddha. If the Buddha is offered below in other people’s homes, “It’s disrespectful, the Shurangama Mantra can only be recited between 3 and 5 o’clock in the morning, otherwise it will be like this” and so on. These are all heresies. They are behaviors that hinder others from making offerings to the Buddha, chanting sutras and chanting mantras. Maybe you have good intentions, but you are doing the devil a favor.

You can invite the Buddha statue home at any time. As for the consecration, it is just a ceremony. You must know that the Buddha does not need us to consecrate it. The consecration means that from now on I will begin to worship and study Buddhism. It is wrong to say “If the Buddha does not consecrate the light, he will not be there.” We should worship the Buddha statue at home so that we can see the Buddha statue at any time. It reminds us that we must have Buddha light in our hearts, have correct knowledge and views when encountering problems, put an end to greed, delusion, and be diligent. Practice precepts, concentration and wisdom. So please bring the Buddha statue home and place it in a place that you think is both respectful and appropriate. Place flowers and offerings, and as soon as you put incense and pay homage, it will be consecrated naturally. People with clairvoyance can see that the Buddha statue is emitting golden light. Without clairaudience, People who are sensitive to “Qi” can use their palms to gently push in the direction of the Buddha statue a few meters away, and they will feel an invisible resistance of Qi.

I just want to tell you that the Buddha statue you invited will be different after we bow with respect. Indeed, the Buddha and Bodhisattva will be present here. You don’t have to worry about whether you can feel the aura or whether you can see the golden light. If you can recite the “Great Compassion Mantra”, “Heart Sutra”, “Diamond Sutra”, “Amitabha Sutra” or other corresponding sutras 3 times, 7 times, 21 times or 49 times after prostrating (such as offering Ksitigarbha statues) Recite parts 1 to 3 of the Ksitigarbha Sutra). In short, arrange it however you think is solemn and respectful. The Buddha said that “everything is created by the mind.” As long as we can observe the five precepts and practice the ten good deeds after inviting ourselves to the Buddha statue, we are the true disciples of the Buddha.

On the other hand, if you cannot uphold the five precepts and practice the ten good deeds, no matter how many temples you go to for consecration, the Buddha will not come to your door.

As for losing bicycles, have you ever secretly taken six wooden sticks about one and a half meters long and ten centimeters thick from your workplace before? “Yes, those are old materials from the work that have no use. I took them home to build a small kitchen.” If you take it home without permission, it is theft. This is the cause. Throwing the bicycle now is the effect. It was your request. The merits of paying homage to the Buddha begin the karma. You have also embezzled a lot of things from your work unit, so you should repent as soon as possible, so that you can eliminate your guilt or retaliate instead of being retaliated lightly. Losing the bicycle has nothing to do with the time when the Buddha statue came in.

Sharing this article is Dharma giving. The Buddha said that Dharma giving has immeasurable merits.
