Rich businessman and maid

Mr. Ge is nearly sixty years old and has been a Buddhist for many years. When she met the old monk Miaofa, she tearfully expressed her difficulties: She married her husband in her twenties and had never realized what a happy family was or what a loving couple meant. Even if the couple were together, they would only bring her fear. What makes her even more painful and intolerable is that although she is now a grandmother, she is sometimes beaten and scolded by her husband.

She had been scolded and beaten for decades. It is this ruthless husband who is recognized as a good person outside. After she became a Buddhist, she thought she might have owed him something in her previous life, so she just accepted it and got by where she is today. However, she wanted to know what kind of debt she owed her husband, and how could she not be able to repay it in this life?

The old monk Miaofa fulfilled her wish. This may be the inspiration of her chanting the Buddha for many years.

Once upon a time, there was a wealthy businessman who had many wives and concubines at home, but he fell in love with a pretty maid in the family, so he took her by force and promised to take her as his concubine when the opportunity came. In the past, women were very particular about sticking with her until the end. Now that she is his, she has been looking forward to this day. However, this master would come to her to vent his animalistic desires when he was happy, and when he was unhappy, he would hit or scold her, which put the maid in pain all the time, making her want to die and unable to leave. However, her hopes never came true, and she harbored deep-seated resentment towards the wealthy businessman. In this life, they repaid their grievances and became a real couple. Ge Jushi was the reincarnation of the wealthy businessman. She was suffering from the pain of the maid. Her husband was the reincarnation of the maid. In this life, he vented the grievances from his previous life to her. As the saying goes, “When causes and conditions meet, you will receive the retribution yourself.”

After listening to the story told by the old monk Miaofa, Layman Ge had tears in her eyes. It was obvious that she had repented. She said that she believed what Master said was true because she felt that she was outgoing, sociable, capable of working, and like a man; while her husband was a responsible and down-to-earth person, and he also liked to do things like cleaning and sewing. A woman’s work is good for everyone except herself. It is completely like a woman. She said that she was suffering from her own fault, and she would never resent her husband again. I will definitely cultivate to the Land of Ultimate Bliss in this life and never reincarnate again.

The old monk Miaofa told her to repent silently every day and recite a “Ksitigarbha Sutra” to dedicate to the maid in the previous life. If she can believe it, the bad causes will be eliminated, the good karma will increase, and the relationship between husband and wife will be improved.
