The dead pigeon

One day, when Lay Buddhist Lu and Xiao Min came out of a vegetarian restaurant after dinner, they suddenly saw a white, sticky mass on the cement floor not far away. When they approached and took a closer look, they were shocked to find that it was a dead pigeon. Its miserable state was horrifying. The pigeon had nothing left except a pair of relatively complete wings and the remaining spine on its back. The two lay Buddhists felt pity for the miserable state and wrapped its bones with clean paper. After reciting the mantra for rebirth, they buried it in a nearby flower bed. Afterwards, at a Dharma meeting, Lay Buddhist Lu mentioned this incident unintentionally, and all the lay Buddhists said in unison that this was the retribution of karma. Yes, the pigeon that caused such a tragic death had planted the evil cause in its previous life during the brutal World War II.

During World War II, there was a German soldier who was responsible for burying some Jews who were killed. One of the dead had his arms stiffly erected. The soldier was annoyed and came up with a cruel idea: first pour gasoline on the body and then light it with a match. After a while, the body was burnt all over. In the end, except for his hands, only the bones were left. It was very tragic. Because the German soldier planted evil causes at that time, he fell into the evil way immediately after death. In this life, he was reincarnated as a pigeon. When he was looking for food, a wild cat ate all his flesh crazily, leaving only a pair of wings. This wild cat was the dead who was burned in the past life. Cause and effect are real. I sincerely hope that all readers will stop killing and creating karma. They should have good thoughts, sympathize with the suffering of all, eat vegetarian food as soon as possible, learn Buddhism as soon as possible, and get rid of suffering and gain happiness as soon as possible!

Tips: The net of heaven is vast and wide, and good and evil will eventually be rewarded. The birth and death of all things in the world have their own causes and conditions. We must deeply understand that cause and effect are everywhere at all times. Do not do evil for the sake of smallness, and do not do good for the sake of smallness. If there were one more person in the world who could believe in and study Buddhism and follow its teachings, there would be fewer disasters and sufferings in the world.
