The power of repentance

Each of us sentient beings has unknowingly committed a lot of bad karma, causing the mani orb of our own nature to be contaminated with a lot of dust and dirt. The shield of ignorance prevents us from seeing the light of our nature.

This requires a certain method to clean up the dirt, and Buddhism tells us that the best way to clean up the dust and dirt is to repent with the power of doing good deeds, chanting sutras, chanting Buddha’s name, reciting mantras, etc.!

Ms. Chen is a strong woman in a state-owned enterprise. She has studied Buddhism for more than two years. Under her influence, many employees in the company have begun to learn Buddhism and become vegetarians.

The employees are energetic, the corporate image is healthy, and the product quality is stable. The company she leads has an excellent reputation in the same industry.

One day, Mr. Chen came to my house as a guest. She had a forthright personality and talked about her recent physical condition. She said that she was often troubled by nameless headaches, which seriously affected her work, life, and study.

Just when Mr. Chen said she had a headache, I suddenly noticed that a huge crocodile suddenly appeared from her left shoulder to her left neck, biting the muscles on her neck, causing insufficient blood supply to the left side of her head.

I couldn’t help but ask: “Have you ever eaten wild animals like crocodiles?”

“Alas! I have eaten too much animal meat.” Mr. Chen said distressedly: “In order to entertain customers, I eat all kinds of wild animals: ostriches, turtles, hares, snow chickens, poisonous snakes, and even crocodiles.

But I had only eaten one bite of the crocodile meat, and it was meat that had been slaughtered and stored in the refrigerator. “

“Although you only ate a bite of meat, the bad karma caused by the guests you invited was paid for by you. Wild animals like crocodiles have great spirituality and cannot be slaughtered casually, let alone eating them for the sake of gluttony. Where’s the meat!

Master Xuanhua once said in the CD “Why You Can’t Kill”: When we eat the flesh of living beings, their Qi will be connected with each other, and their blood will be mixed with their blood, and their spiritual consciousness will entangle you in the deepest part of your body. Target weak areas.

Now its spiritual consciousness is on your left shoulder and left neck, constantly biting the muscles on your neck, causing insufficient blood supply to the left side of your head, which is the source of your pain. “

“Then my sin is huge. I have eaten so many wild animals. I must repent well, make vows to chant sutras, and dedicate myself to this crocodile first.”

That night, after taking a bath, Mr. Chen knelt in front of the Buddha and recited the “Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s Original Vow Sutra” to dedicate it to the crocodile he had hurt.

During the chanting process, she overcame various discomforts such as dizziness and headache, gritted her teeth and insisted on kneeling and reciting two Ksitigarbha Sutras.

When I saw her again the next day, her mental outlook took on a new look, her face began to turn rosy, and even her dark spots had receded by more than half.

In the afternoon, several Buddhist friends came to visit Mr. Chen. In front of everyone, the strong woman put down her high-ranking official arrogance and frankly and frankly repented of the sentient beings she had eaten and harmed in the past; she repented that she had been too conceited and had a bad temper when she was a leader; she repented that she was All kinds of bad karma that I did before I learned Buddhism…

While she was confessing, the remaining gray air on her face disappeared, the spots gradually disappeared, and her face was replaced by a red glow.

At this time, I could vaguely see some of the sentient beings who had been hurt by her. Thanks to her sincere repentance, they were rising one by one, and soon they were reborn in a good way.

The power of repentance is so great that everyone is deeply affected. With every word you say, we review all the bad karma and mistakes we have made in the past…

The power of repentance is as stated in “The Sutra on the Difference of Karma and Retribution by the Buddha for the Elder Suga”:

“If someone commits a serious crime and has committed a crime, he will be deeply guilty of it. If he repented and did not commit any crime, he would be able to eradicate the root cause.”
