What is the concept of causation?

Cause and effect, Buddhist language. It is called cause and effect and retribution. According to the Buddhist theory of reincarnation, what you sow will be what you receive; good will be rewarded with good, and evil will be rewarded with evil. It means that whatever the result will be, there will be a reason.

“If there is a cause, there must be an effect.” It directly and simply explains the nature of cause and effect.

“Karma and retribution” can also be understood as “cause-condition-fruit”. If a seed is buried in the soil, it may not be able to bloom and bear fruit if there is no “fate” of moisture, nutrients and sunlight.

This relationship of mutual existence at the same time and mutual existence at different times is actually what Buddhism calls the relationship of cause and effect. For example, the seed is the cause, and the bud is the fruit, because the seed first exists, and then the bud develops. This is a causal relationship that exists at different times and coexists with each other.

The Buddha said: "All dharmas are empty, and cause and effect is not empty." "If you sow melons, you will reap melons; if you sow beans, you will reap beans." Cause and effect is a reflection of our actions in this world, that is to say, the actions of our sentient beings on the ground of causes. Thoughts and behaviors will be retained, grow and mature in our fruitful land, and then bear our own harvest.

The Buddha taught us in the “Hundred Karma Sutra”: “The fruits of all good and evil karma will not mature on the four elements of earth, water, fire, and wind. They will only mature in their own five aggregates, twelve places, and eighteen levels.” above.”

And everything we do now will have certain consequences in this life, the next life, or a more distant future life. Everything we do now is sowing seeds for future harvests. The so-called Yintong III, and even more distant future lives.

They will surely scatter leaves, blossom, and bear fruit in their future physiology, psychology, and environment. Therefore, we must understand that only we are the masters of our future, and our future and destiny are only in our own hands.

Everything you receive now is also the result of what you planted in the past. Once you understand these principles, there is no point in complaining or being angry anymore.

The Buddha said: “Even if it lasts for hundreds of thousands of kalpas, your deeds will not be destroyed. When the causes and conditions meet, you will receive the retribution.”

“If we want to eliminate our own karma and eliminate all worries, we must correct our own causes, repent of the evil we have done in the past, be brave enough to correct our mistakes, accumulate good deeds, and be virtuous.

Destiny is made by oneself, appearance is born by the heart.

Correcting our thoughts and behaviors so that the evil causes we have planted can be transformed into good consequences is the most important and important thing for us sentient beings at the moment.
