Where do you put a Buddha for good luck?

Buddhist hall

If your home has a large space and sufficient rooms, you can open a separate room as a Buddhist hall, which is specially used to worship Buddha and Bodhisattva and to chant sutras and worship Buddha.

Study room

If there is no extra space, it is also a good choice to put it in the study room. Reading in front of the Buddha will make your mind quieter and make you more pious.

Living room

It is also possible to worship in the living room. For houses that are not in good condition, it is also beneficial to hang a picture of Buddha.

Heart

If conditions do not allow it, the Buddha and Bodhisattva will not blame us if we do not worship Buddha statues. Having Buddha and Bodhisattva in our hearts is the best way to worship.

The purpose of making offerings to Buddha

Instead of enshrining Buddha statues, and asking the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to live directly in our hearts, this offering is still superior and the purpose of enshrining Buddha statues.
The offering to Buddha is a very important purpose because it helps us discover the Buddha within ourselves through the external Buddha. If there is no Buddha in our hearts, no matter how many Buddhas we offer, no matter how big the Buddha is, it is meaningless.

Things to keep in mind when making offerings to Buddha

  1. When placing Buddha statues, they must not face the door wall or toilet. It is best to place them directly opposite the door;
  2. When placing a Buddha statue, it must be equipped with an incense burner of moderate size, as well as a water supply cup, candles and other offerings.
  3. Do not place a table near the Buddha statue and avoid eating in front of the Buddha statue;
  4. If necessary, use a Buddhist niche to place the Buddha statue to avoid unnecessary damage.

If you follow the above four taboos, it will probably not be a problem.
